Or at least show up when the days seem beyond challenging!
I have always been told you need that one reason WHY you show up day in and day out…
This is MINE ⤵️
This is why I never quit
This is how I learned to persevere
This is why wellness is beyond important to me

YES my kids and husband are a significant piece of Why I show up day in and day out.
But I would have never pursued MORE if it wasn’t for THIS right here ↩️
Hear me out!
Two weeks after I turned 20 life as I knew it would forever change.
It has shaped me into a different person.
One that saw life a little more fragile and completely different.
I went a decade without a seizure controlled with medicine.
Then with our third pregnancy, extreme stress and a change of medicine I had two unexpected seizures.
To most I look normal and live a balanced life.
Most days that’s far from the truth.
Honestly, I show up for this girl.
The 20 year old that had no voice, no direction and no idea what her future would hold.
She fights daily to improve her confidence, creates habits that elevate her mental + physical wellness and learns how to advocate for herself.
Most importantly she has dug into healing to live a really good, meaningful life.
Although I would never wish this on anyone else I chose to recognize this diagnosis wasn’t leaving and have allowed it to shape me into the person I am today.
It has allowed me to create the tools to fight battles I never knew I would.
And to live with more confidence, energy and joy to really show up my best where it matters most!
For the limited time we have here.
Maybe you already have a why or maybe you are unsure the motives of what keep you going on the good and bad days.
As today is my birthday and it has almost been 13 years I want to leave this here with you.
Maybe you don't need a big medical diagnoise, loss or a shift in life to carve out your why
But you do have core values, memories, goals and beliefs that have shaped you into who you are.
If you are looking to dive into what motivates you and what keeps you going. Here are three great questions to ask yourself to dig a little deeper.
Digging just a little deeper into asking yourself why you show up for yourself, your wellness and how you desire to build a legacy that lasts for decades.
What brings you joy or fulfillment in your life outside of your role as a mom?
When you think about the kind of example you want to set for your children, what values or traits stand out?
If you could imagine a day where you feel truly grounded and fulfilled, what would it look like?
Take 5-10 minutes journal on these prompts and allow yourself to wander.
You are a really good mom and when you give yourself the space to breathe and think it allows you to be an even greater mom
With love,
Ashley
